Jeff Hanneman, 49, Slayer's guitar prodigy died recently from liver failure, which was thought to have originated from a spider bite, 3 years ago. Although the spider bite did take its toll, making him spend months in the hospital for treatment. The report stated that liver cirrhosis due to alcohol was the main cause of his death; there was no evidence that correlated the bite to his weakening immune system. Heavy metal fans poured in to pay tribute to the guitarist. Thus, this incident raised awareness for pest control in Jacksonville FL. There were only a few details about the spider, but it's been believed to carry a flesh-eating disease. However, this specie only extends to most of Southern U.S, including the Southern Midwest. Hanneman's death may have been heartbreaking, but it served as an eye-opener for people to be more aware about such insects and do some damage control before it's too late.
